Kingsman: The Secret Service

Ever since I saw the trailer for this film, I have been pretty excited to see it. I knew it was directed by Matthew Vaughn and I am quite the fan of Kick-Ass so I knew it would be at least entertaining. However, when I watched it, I never expected myself to adore the film. This is, quite honestly, one of the best films of 2015 and possibly one of the best spy movies too. It was thoroughly entertaining throughout, the script was clever, witty and funny and the action scenes are some of the best I’ve seen in recent cinema (the church scene gets a very honourable mention). Don’t get me wrong, this is no ‘The Raid’ and it’s certainly no ‘James Bond’ but it’s very much in a league of it’s own. It’s kind of a parody of spy movies and yet it has a serious side to it that makes it stand out from any spy movies.
Kingsman: The Secret Service is entertaining throughout and I enjoyed every second of it. The time went too fast even though the runtime was over two hours. I also hear that a sequel is in the works. If this is true, count me in for a cinema ticket on the first day of it’s release. It’s a shame that we’ve not heard much about this film because it truly deserves a lot of recognition.
